Galaxy Nexus Price
After the showcase of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus rumors are circulating of the price of this device. Based off the information from SammyHub the device is likely to be available mid November in the United States, Japan, Canada, England and Norway.Verizon will sell (and maybe other carriers) in the United States, NTT DoCoMo will sell in Japan and Three, Vodafone and O2 will sell in the United Kingdom. Pictures have shown the Galaxy will sell for around 430 – 515 pounds which is the equivalent to about $800 American Dollars.
In late November the Galaxy Nexus will also be available in the countries; Denmark, Finland and Sweden with the prices, 4400DK (817 USD), 649 Euros (897 USD) and 5500 SEK (831 USD) respectively. In Australia you can pre-order the Galaxy Nexus from MobiCity for $829 AUD and will be expected to ship on the 7th of November. Kogan also sells the Galaxy Nexus. It lists the 16GB model for $799 plus delivery.

What the hell! why so expensive, i was thinking 750 at the most. I was planning on buying this phone outright, if it actually is $830 i might reconsider even buying it. This thing is lacking a good camera, using pentile HD, and has a crappy gpu, don’t see how they can put a pricetag that high.
What is your reasoning behind saying the camera is bad? More megapixels does not transfer into a better camera. That’s like saying more horsepower makes a faster car. If the sensor is designed right 5 megapixels can look better than 8 megapixels with a shitty sensor (I’m looking at you Droid X2).
Pentile is only a problem if the resolution is low. I’m willing to bet that know one will be able to tell that it’s a pentile display at the resolution it’s at.
GPU does suck a bit. If it was running an older version of Android I’d be worried. The big benefit is ICS. Hardware acceleration will get the most out of it.
Its relatively cheap actually… check this link out. http://www.galaxynexus.org/buy-galaxy-nexus/
Where are and what price for the 32GB model
Its yet to be announced, no word yet from Samsung or Google about the 32GB model.
Considering the lack of a micro SD card expansion slot…still can’t comprehend “WHY”…i expect the 32GB model will be readily available. Just an observation…when you take off the back cover…there is a slot that looks like where the Expansion micro SD card slot should be…wonder what that opening is for? Similar opening on the Samsung Galaxy S2 is where the micro SD card goes…so is it possible that due to the out cry again this time for not including a micro Sd card slot on the Galaxy Nexus, Google and Sammy might just include it since the opennig is already there..hoping w/ fingers crossed.
I wouldn’t be too worried. The unlocked iPhone 4S sells for 500 quid in UK. Phones/Electronics are generally more expensive on this side of the pond.
